Ok strange response from housing,,,I am attempting to set up cable/internet services for a house on post prior to moving in which we do in less than a week. I am being told I cannot set this up until I sign a lease with housing. I have never heard of this before...we have lived severeal places,,,and have never been told that we can't get services set up before so they can come the day we move in. Also time werner and sattelite cannot veritfy house address to set it up ...Any insight… Continue

My husband and I just PCS'd here about a month ago. He came ahead of me and our daughter, then we joined him about two weeks ago. I'm really hoping to meet other wives here and make some friends. I have an 11 week old daughter that I stay home with all day. So there are only so many chances to meet new people. My husband is an E7 and we are moving from Ft.Drum to Ft.Bliss this May/June time frame. We have been stationed at Drum for 13yrs so this is a whole new chapter in our life!! We are flying out next week to do some house hunting (possibly purchasing) but was wondering if anyone had any info/updates on the new Blafour Beatty Housing? Hubby will be back from training in a few weeks and then we're off to Bliss on the 7th. I'm pretty excited to have my husband back and start a new chapter in our life. The wives I've talked to from Bliss seem so nice and so much friendlier then the ones at Riley....haha. Searching for an off post apartment might not be so much fun, but I'm ready to be settled. :)

As I'm on a quest to better health...that obviously means a change in the way I shop for food. So far, I have lost 3 pounds without exercise. I'm still trying to get into the whole workout mode.
